You will not receive a refund for non-attendance or cancellations after the scheduled start time. You are eligible for a refund of 75% of your test fee if you cancel your test at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled start time. You will need to reject your test session in myNAATI and then select another test date.

First Work and Holiday visa application cap status​

If you’ve passed the test in DKT online, you do not need to make a booking to go to a service centre and apply for your licence. Due to the high interest in the Work and Holiday visa program in some high demand countries​​​, the department has paused application lodgement. This may happen when the cap is nearly filled or to spread out visa application lodgements throughout the program year. You will receive feedback from examiners which will help you determine your readiness for the actual test. You will need to pay the test fee when you select your test date.

Reschedule your test booking

If these conditions don’t apply to you, you can take the DKT online. You can make a booking to take the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) in-person at a Service NSW Centre. Take the online test as many times as you need for the one test fee. Most of our tests are delivered online only to allow for equitable access for test candidates.

If you need to use another form of payment, you must return to a transport and motoring customer service centre on a weekday during opening hours to get your licence. If you pass a driving test on a Saturday, you can pay with EFTPOS and get your licence on the day. You must make your booking at least one week before your test date. If you are over 25 you don’t need to complete a learner logbook before booking your test. If you fail the test and receive a result that is 58 or higher you can apply for a review of your results. Offer must be redeemed within 14 days of the date on the redemption email to receive Device.
